Our ceramics studio offers wheel and bench rentals for those looking to work independently on their pottery projects. Whether you're perfecting your wheel throwing skills or need a dedicated space for hand building, our studio provides all the tools and equipment you need. Rent a wheel for solo throwing sessions or reserve a bench space to focus on hand-building, trimming, and glazing.

Enjoy access to a fully equipped studio, including pottery tools, wheels, and kilns, with the flexibility to work at your own pace. Perfect for experienced potters or those looking to practice outside of class!

Clay, Glaze and firing is charged at £10 per kg at greenware stage weighed by our onsite team.

Get a sense for throwing on the wheel in a relaxed light airy studio every Saturday and Sunday afternoon!

Experience the art of throwing first hand in our 3-hour throwing taster session tailored for beginners and intermediates. Led by our skilled instructors, this session provides a hands-on introduction to wheel throwing techniques in a relaxed environment. 

Throughout the session, you will learn the foundational techniques of wheel throwing, from centering clay to shaping your own unique piece. No prior experience is required - our instructors will guide you through each step, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident as you work with the clay. You will keep your favourite thrown vessel, which will be fired and glazed for you to pick up on your next visit to Earthworks. Additional kept pieces are charged at £10 per piece.

Whether you are looking to explore a new hobby or simply want to try something different, our beginner's throwing taster session offers an enjoyable and memorable experience for all. Reserve your spot now and join us for an afternoon of creativity and fun!

**What to Bring**

We're all about having fun and getting hands-on, so come prepared to dive into the world of clay! Wear something comfortable that you won’t mind getting a little clay on, and an apron is always a good idea if you are able to bring your own fantastic, if not - we have them at the studio. Short nails make working with clay easier, and if you’ve got long hair, tying it back will keep it out of your way.

 
**Included in Your Course**
Clay: We'll provide all the clay you need. To keep our studio sustainable and encourage thoughtful creation, We love seeing all the pieces you create, but to avoid waste, we encourage you to fire only the piece you cherish. It is an additonal £10 per additional piece fired. 

Glazing: You'll have access to a variety of studio glazes to add the perfect finish to your work, all included in the class fee.

Tools: No need to bring anything but your creativity — we've got all the tools you'll need.

TIme: 6 - 8pm on your chosen dates, 2-hour session (including 15-minute cleanup at the end).

Class Size: We keep it cozy with a maximum of 8 participants.

 

Collection: About 4 weeks after the class, we'll email you to let you know your pieces are ready to be picked up.
